John W. Keating

Frostburg, June 11–John W. Keating, 71, of 81 Mt. Pleasant street, retired employe of the Consolidation Coal Company, died last night at Allegany Hospital, Cumberland, where he had been admitted last Friday.

A member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Mr. Keating is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Keating, and the following children, Mrs. Dolores Wolfe, Cumberland; Mrs. Julia Clites, LaVale; Mrs. Ursula Reyhuon [sic – Reburn], Rockville; John W. Keating, Jr., Baltimore; Thomas, Front Royal, Va.; Charles, this city, and Mary Agnes, Leo, Joseph and James, at home. He had two sisters, Mother Mary Euphrasia, Seattle, Washington, and Mother Estrit [sic – Esprit], Troy, N. Y., and one brother, Thomas P. Keating, Miami, Fla. He had ten grandchildren.

    I am writing because I think we may be part of the same Family Tree.

    My maiden name is Migan, I was born in Scotland (1971) but now live in Northern Ireland. My great grandfather and his family were from Southern Ireland.
