Geography – Keating Park, Dublin, Ireland

Between Dublin and Naas, Co. Kildare, near the town of Rathcoole, sits the townsland (an unincorporated area) known as Keatings Park.

Seamus Keating wrote of Keating’s Park:

I remember once my father told me that it was probably named after a relation of Sean Keating, the artist, although I believe that he came from Limerick.

On a personal note, does anyone know anything more about this area? My own family is from Ballymore Eustace, Co. Kildare.
