FROSTBURG – Richard James “Doc” “Rick” Davis, 54, of Frostburg, died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, at the Oakland Nursing and Rehab Center.

Born Nov. 2, 1952, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, he was the son of the late John Davis and Betty (Pape) Davis, of Frostburg.

Mr. Davis was a retired tractor trailer driver. He was a member of the Beall High School Class of 1971, and was a former member of the Frostburg Fire Department.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are two sons, Michael “Buck” Davis and wife Mary Kate, Frostburg, and Paul Davis and wife Carrie, Greencastle, Pa.; one granddaughter, Baleigh Davis; one brother, John Davis and wife Linda, LaVale; two sisters, Susan Sahm and husband Jack, Rockville, and Constance “Connie” Via, Fla.; and nieces and nephews, Sara, Rebecca, Robert, Amy, Ann Marie, and Darrell.

Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m..

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Rick Riley officiating.

Interment will be in the Frostburg Memorial Park.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the Frostburg Fire Department, 22 S. Water St., Frostburg, MD 21532.
