JOHN T. KEATING

Retired Engineer

John T. Keating, 65,  of Chinpuapin Road, Churchville, died Saturday at Holy Redeemer Hospital, Meadowbrook.

A retired mechanical engineer, he was a works manager for Allied Chemical Co., Frankford. He had resided in Churchville for 25 years and was a member of Our Lady Good Counsel Church, Southampton.

Mr. Keating was president of the Bucks County Presidium of the Legion of Mary; president of the Board of Directors of Frankford Hospital; a member of the Holy Name Society; the Northeast Advisory Board of the Girard Bank, a member of the blood serving committee of the American Red Cross, a board member of the Boy Scouts of America and Holy Family College in Philadelphia. He also belonged to the Checker Club and was a member of numerous professional engineering associations.

Surviving are his wife Florence (nee Highfield), a daughter, Mrs. Richard Redick of Hatboro; a son, John R. Keating of Levittown; a brother Lambert Keating, and three sisters, Mrs. Julia Thompson, Miss Elizabeth Keating and Mrs. Thomas O’Dowd, all of Chicago, Ill., and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Wm. Rowen Grant Funeral Home Street Road and Second Street Pike, Southampton, Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Southampton.

Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Hulmeville. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening after 7.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Coronary Department of Frankford Hospital, Frankford Ave. and Wakeling St., Philadelphia.
