John Keating
EDGEWATER – John Joseph Keating, 91, of Third Street, a superintendent with the New York Central Railroad, died Friday at the home of his daughter in Clearwater. Mr. Keating, a native Weehawken, N.J., came to this area in 1986 from Hillsdale, N.J. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Smyrna Beach. He enjoyed gardening, collecting and restoring classic Jaguars, building model trains and railroads and was a lifelong football and boxing fan. He enjoyed world news. Survivors include two sons, Charles, Clearwater, and John, Cochecton, N.Y.; two daughters, Margaret Huylebroeck and Patricia Van Gunten, both of Clearwater; two brothers, Charles, Wilmington, Del., and Paul, Middletown, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Settle-Wilder, New Smyrna Beach, is in charge.
